You know if you need any help, all you gotta do is call.... I'm sure I can find somebody to help you...

Great. IIRC, yr right foot and Matt's are pretty near identical.%)

But you better get yr sorry EB-owning arse to the Roundup this year..no excuses. I googled it and its a piddlin 342 miles each way.

Oh me bad...........busy as heck with other projects that this one just has been on hold.

Finally got the monster trail rig done to the point our friend could finally take it home and get it out of the shop.....that took many weeks of work in order to get it to that point.

Then we had a diesel motor to pull and start a rebuild on. Also had some work to do on Bills' son's EB so we could get it moving on its own. Then we had our Audi to get some work done on which is where we'll be this weekend. Not to mention getting a new pup last weekend.

But, there are more parts ordered and we are awaiting them for our next step in the build. Oh but don't expect anything immediate since Bill is off for a week here soon for work and right after he returns there is our first off-road wheeling trip for the year at Ice Breakers.

Time to revive an old thread..the rolling chassis has been put back in a shop bay and I've been working on the flattie again. Everything else we needed to put the engine in the chassis should be here early next week. Stand by for pics..

Kudos to Johnny for finding a 'better' flathead V-8 to C-4 auto adapter option from Speedway Motors. That's the one we went with.

That ole flat head brings back memories of the one I had in my '52 Merc. I wanted to mention where's the offenhouser heads...but you got Edelbrock on there. That is just as good.

What kinda hoss power ya think your going to get?

According to DynoSim Pofessional..a program I've run for many years now and calibrated against some of my builds that went on a real dyno...the flattie should make..are you realy READY for this??...a whopping 215 BHP.;D

What the heck..thats a bit more than twice its stock 100HP.;D

Its not at the top of the list..but it is the official 'winter project'. The idear is to have a running truck in time for next year's Roundup.

Well way back when the tri-power and Jans vented pistons was supposed to get you 185 HP.....I think my Merc had a little more than 100 something like 115 or 120 maybe.

A big part of what is supposed to push this build over the 200HP mark is the supercharger..with around 5 psi of boost at peak.

Well shame on me cause I get so busy that I just don't keep this updated like I should. Okay, here is where I left you........Mr. Kitty has been keeping his eye on the brakes since they haven't been gotten to as of yet. He will keep doing a great job until I get back to them.

So let me show you how we took our original Radius arms and turned them into custom "Long Arms".

Once you get to this point.......take one with the other and (to be continued)

first off i just want to say love the build. the old flat head is sweet. and i wanna say im a newb at this. i gotta question on these custom long arms. first, why are u doing this? secound is that strong enough for any real abuse? i only see where u welded them at the back? so there is only like 2" of weld holding the rest of the tubing on? and that weld is from steel to cast iron? sorry for all the questions. thanks
