Adding a trigger wheel to vbelt crank pulley

I'm thinking about upgrading my ignition system to use a small ECU to allow for programmable timing curves and Ford EDIS coil packs. To do this I will need a trigger wheel for the crankshaft.

I know there are crank trigger kits available for 302s but I'm not sure if they will work with the odd Bronco crank pulley.

Has anyone added a trigger wheel to the stock pulley or used a crank trigger kit on a vbelt system?

This is what I want to use.

Shouldnt be hard to redrill a bolt pattern or weld the trigger wheel to the pulley. Crane cams sell a programable dizzy that does about the same thing as that megajolt. About the only differance is you dont have to hook it to a computer to program it. So it might not be as versatile. but really unless your running forced induction or a really built engine I dont see no great benefit to that setup. Once the correct advance curve for your engine is found with any system your done.

I like the idea of this system, but does it use a knock sensor? I scanned their website but couldn't tell.

I'm not looking for huge gains but I want to get a little tuning experience before I convert my Porsche to Megasquirt. I may pick up a little power and economy over my Mallory ignition system but this is just a learning experiment.

I don't think this system uses a knock sensor.

This forum has some success stories with this system.

Put an Explorer front dress on it. Holds the pickup in the right place and comes with trigger wheel already on the balancer. It is all factory parts.
