Another Gas Gauge Question

I've searched this forum and found plenty of info about troubleshooting fuel gauge problems. My gauge doesn't work. I have a wiring question that I didn't see addressed. I have a main and auxiliary tank. There is the stock fuel transfer switch on the dash. There is also what the seller described as an aftermarket transfer switch under the driver's seat. The one under the seat is the one that actually transfers between tanks. The one on the dash has the wires going to the gauge and sending units. The one under the seat has no wires going to it. Assuming I get the gauge to work, does that mean that I will have to switch the one under the seat to switch tanks and switch on one on the dash to switch sending units?
