Anyone heard of this restoration shop in Columbus?

Funny you mention that, Karl. A non-Bronco friend sent me the link a few months ago and I had to admit I didn't think I had ever heard of them either. They certainly have a large number of builds. It looks like they're getting top $$ for their trucks too. It's interesting how a place like this can essentially be off the "Bronco radar" and apparently building a lot of product.

Loved the comment the MLB player said;
"I can park it next to a Lamborghini, and people ignore the Lamborghini and want to take pictures of the Bronco."

Yes, there were a couple of threads on here about them. One was asking about a used one they were flipping. Then another new poster was shopping for an EB for her boss and we emailed back and forth pictures because she didn't know what she was looking at. Really amateur looking stuff -- lots of undercoating, hidden rust, etc in the used ones they were flipping for ungodly money. Maybe the frame offs are nice, should be given how much they are charging. I feel like you could buy all brand new parts and still come out ahead if you sell for 125k. At least icon puts a bunch of special touches and new ideas/applications on their 150k builds.

They have a pretty nice website but there's some fibbing going on. Website says he's been "designing" broncos since 2005, yet the first paragraph of the article says it only started as a fluke 5 years ago when he jumped on the gold rush bandwagon.

I have dealt with him first hand when he was winning bidder on my Sequoia Brown '73. He turned out to be a deadbeat buyer and never followed through with the deal.

Looking at the blue '66 build, it looks like there is some wreck re-building going on. The core support isn't correct and the side markers didn't exist then. Can't be sure but the grill does look to be an eyebrow. And I don't believe they had a 'Sport' model back then. The dash is a replacement, the Bronco script steering column cover won't cover the hole on a '66 dash, unless the welded some sheet to the upper corners.

They're real random with their work, '75 with no side markers, one '69 with hi mounted side markers one with low mount, '69 with a 302 and a 289 emblem.

These types of shops seem to pop up everywhere. They don't care about being on the Bronco radar or the Broncos being restored correctly, they are in it purely for the $.

If I was to spend that kind of money, I assure you it would go to somewhere like NicksTrix or Krawler's Edge. Those types are actually on the radar and bring their work out for the public to see.

More like they try to avoid the radar, because they know that people that really know Broncos would catch them doing bad work and fakery for $$$$ instead of doing it right.
They are taking advantage of the recent rise in popularity of Broncos to make a quick buck.

Excellent point. You never see the shady sellers at any of the events.

I first saw them about 6 months ago. Most I saw looked like nice stuff in the pics, but it would be nice to see them up close.

Another Icon type business model not looking to sell to "Bronco guys", but instead high $ clientele. Lots of private jets, Lambos, Ferraris, etc. in the backgrounds of their Bronco photos.

They claim to do a complete build in 8-10 weeks. I suppose that is possible with enough guys tackling specific areas, and they also seem to have a general formula for their builds, not true customs built to owners specs.

People seem quick to be critical about these operations. A lot of people love old Broncos but the ongoing maintenance on a 40 year old vehicle scares them away. I think it is a great way for someone who doesn't have the time, tools or aptitude to own a classic.

What we are down on is fly-by-night outfits that don't know or don't care how to do it right and are only in it for the quick buck.
By putting stuff from the wrong years on and calling them original or restored this shop qualifies.

From their website:
"if you're in the market for a classic Ford Bronco then you should visit with him first" -Bronco Graveyard

Looks like Bronco Graveyard has made them their preferred builder. If i were one of the Bronco purist builders i'd be insulted.

^ Bingo.

I hate to say it, but Bronco Graveyard is probably their parts supplier, and has sold thousands of dollars in parts to them. So sucking up to get more business is the only good reason I can come up with for that statement.

If they were truly knowledgeable about the Bronco community, they would be more supportive of the more well known proven builders.
