Don’t paint it and get rid of the stripes and decal just yet.
It does look kind of vintage, cool. And who knows, maybe there was a dealer somewhere or some sort of a deal with Hurst to advertise.
Hey, maybe it was an early SEMA truck! :)

Oh, im not talking about painting the bronco... Just the cactus smasher that will be going on my 70.

Do you intend to keep the hood black? If yes, I’d agree with satin black for the cactus smasher. Sort of ties in nicely with the hood and tires. If you’ll eventually paint the hood caramel bronze, then paint to match. Gonna look great whichever way you go!
