Automatic floor shifter

I hope this is in the right place. My 3 speed column is trashed and I think I'm going to a C4. I can't decide whether to track down an auto column, or put an aftermarket shifter on the floor. Does anyone have pictures of their automatic floor shifters? I'm hoping if I see some examples it'll help me make up my mind. Thanks.

Definitely go with a floor shifter! The Art Carr/Winters shifter is great especially if you wheel your Bronco and you ever want to go to a reverse manual shift pattern. For a mainly street cruiser with light to moderate wheeling I would go with a Lokar.

I do not own this bronco anymore, but I thought it was good option installed by PO.

I have a similar one made by B&M, pic provided. It's been sitting in the same box since 1995. Yeah it's a lil rusty on some unpainted pieces but I hope to put it all together on my 77 build.

I had this same shifter and it was a POS. It did not shift well and was replaced by a Lokar.

Anyone have pics of their's mounted on the tunnel? I have a sidewinder that needs to be installed. I also have a console I really like and don't want to take out. Can you put one in on the right side of the J shifter on top of the tunnel? I haven't seen it done but I think I'm going to try.

Since your column is already worn out, why not replace it with an new column. It is the best place for the shifter unless you want a reverse pattern. Your floor will be clear for other stuff.
WH sells an IDIDIT column that just bolts in place of the old one.

I have mine mounted on the right side. The transmission and transfer case are out of the vehicle but I will post a pic tonight when I get home. I used a Lokar cable shifter.

BC Broncos has a nice looking push button shifter now that you can mount anywhere.

Column shifts are great, in a 72' ford country squire station wagon. :D

I'm for the column if this is a street/mild trail rig. Neat and tidy and out of the way. Easy to get your hands on (10 and 2 right?). I have a winters on the floor that I am about to build a console for but I have a reverse pattern trans.

C'mon, a floor shifter, manual OR auto, is so much more fun to drive! ;D%)
