I am missing something. What are you referring to with a rear stretch?

Take a look at the pics that show the side profile. The rear axle has been moved back quite a bit (and the front has been moved forward). I think it really ruins the looks of the truck but that's just my opinion.

Oh, I see. i was focused on looking for a body stretch! I am puzzled by this one as well. The paint quality is good but not great and the overall level of restoration is good but hard to believe it supports the current bid of 110k. I am starting to accept that times have changed considerably in a very short period. The question is for how long I guess.

I don't mind the stretch if the truck is to be used offroad on serious trails. that is a benefit. whats obscene is the price. Well there I am the minority i guess. I will have to get off my ass and work on the basket case I have in hiding. Been putting it off for 25 years.

Both High Bidders from the same area as the seller makes you wonder if this is real. It just does not speak to 132k for a non Coyote build. Those have a lot of cost involved and at least have a reason if they are done right.

If this was EBay I would probably agree with you. However, since BAT has the buyer's credit card and will take the 5% of the sales price (up to $5k) immediately, there is no benefit in playing these games. In this situation, if it is not real, then someone lost out on $5k.

Based on the comments in that thread, I'm definitely in the minority in thinking that truck is really ugly with that rear stretch.

Todd Z.

I will admit I did comment on the auction only to respond to someone stating something about in off-road, shorter is better. My comment was around the fact of how "tippy" these broncos can get with the short wheelbase going down steep grades. My trail Bronco that I sold a few years back was just under 100" WB and compared to my stock 92" (not to mention full width axles) it was night and day in how much more stable it felt.

I have also ridden in another one of Tim's builds that had the same WB as the auction bronco and they do feel more comfortable at speed.

For appearance only... I agree stock "looks" better. IMO the 15x10 and 33's don't help the look. I think a 17x8 or 9 with 35's would look more at home.
