You can buy the chebby parts at almost any auto parts store, and the tube at several metal supply houses or online. However the cost of the taps and reamer will nearly get you to some of the kit prices. The left hand tap alone was over $65 when I did mine a few years back.

Ruff stuff is based in nor cal and they have been posting special promo codes for stuff this month for xmas. I just bought a steering system and parts to make a new track bar system for 20% off yesterday. They didn't list today's deal. Maybe give them a call tomorrow and ask if they will give you the discount. Yesterday's promo code was megasteer don't know if it will still work or not.

The tie rod ends are easy/cheap to find, Amazon has them for about $13 each but the rest of the parts are hard to find here locally or online. I ended up going with an Extreme Custom Fab kit.

I bought the TREs from Rock Auto, then bought my own tubing from a local steel distributor. Cut it to length and got a local fabrication shop (Paul at Bent Fabrication here in Phoenix) to tap the tubing and mill wrench flats on the end.
