I was looking at JBG fully assembled 3rd members last night to buy for my Bronco. The price is about the best I've seen ($1349) and right now and everything on their site is 10% off. What would be the difference between buying one from them and Summitracing or Ruffstuff or any other seller? I was considering going 35 spline and JBGs is hundreds less than the other ones I looked at. Anybody know what case they use and if it will hold up to 37s? This is a Bronco that will see 80% trail and 20% street use. my 351W makes 300+ HP so nothing hardcore for rock crawling and no drag racing.

with 37's I'd most definitely do 35 spline. I'm assuming you're wanting a Detroit or equal. I have enough top of line parts that I'm needing to move, PM if interested.

Yes, Detroit or Grizzly.

I noticed the NO WARRANTY OVER 33" TIRES disclaimer on all of them. I don't think many people follow that but understand it's probably there for liability reasons.

I don't think JBG uses a nodular case, i think the rebuild factory cases. I'm having a local shop price me out a full 35 spine setup as i just blew up my spider gears in the factory traclok and started twisting a factory shaft (that was with street use and 33s lol). I'm definitely going full 35 spline for the rear so i don't have to worry about it leaving me stranded. i have a warmed up 351w also and everything behind it does not like it.

I just ordered complete rear axle w/ third member, 9" aftermarket style housing, 35 splines, ARB, axles through Currie Enterprises. Their pricing seemed to be similar to vendors and they are local for me.

I did the WH 31 spline axles. I have been really hard on them. Everything seems great.
Got my Detroit and Strange case off of eBay from a place called Nine Inch Nodular. Super good prices. Some good/used stuff too.
My Detroit was a NASCAR take out and my Strange Case was new.
$225.00 plus shipping.

I would recommend finding a reputable shop local to you and have them price out specifically what you want. That way if something goes wrong then you have a place to take it. Also your buying local and usually end up with a better product. Or buy all your specific parts online and have the local shop do the build for you. Buying a built third member from a larger company can get you a lesser quality install than a good diff/driveshaft shop. Usually when checking gear patterns on production built units the builders have specs that they have to make it into, a local shop will usually take more time on your build and get you dead on in the middle of those specs to have the best gear pattern possible. Of course as long the shop does good work.

I've had good luck with currie and Randy for stuff. A local race shop should be able to hook you up and save on shipping

A local builder is an option I hadn't really thought about since it is 35 spline. I have a guy who is really good here and I send him lots of work because I trust him with anything. He's a Chevy guy so I guess I ruled him out without talking to him first :-X.

Go nodular on the case...the case and pinion support on an OE housing is the weak point and will take out your entire setup...

After grenading rear ends and axles I finally bumped up to:

http://www.truehi9.com w/35 spline chrome-moly axles, ARB, etc. It's tough...
