I am using D60 rear & D44-HD from '77 F250 in my '74 sport. this is MUD & trail truck only (no rocks in ms). I can't decide on using coil springs front & rear, or leaf springs front & rear. I am hoping for 38" or larger tires w/ the least amt. of susp. lift, 3" body, & plenty of fender trimmage. I don't need a lot of flex, although some is nesesary, but I want plenty of STRENGTH & durability. I need all the advice I can get. Semi-low budget (newlywed).

I like what Chuck has to offer, http://www.bcbroncos.com/

He uses leaf and coil but it gives super flexibility. The thing I like about chuck, is that he uses his stuff, its not just display.

To minimize the expense, I'd keep it coil front, leaf rear. If you don't mind trimming the wheel openings, the 38.5's you want will fit with many of the standard lift kits that are available. There are numerous thread on here that talk about tire size/lift req't. Use the search function and you should be able to find what you need.

That is a old picture. Was taken in Moab, first set of spring rockers and Coby's arms. The owner of the shop/ramp had to get his rock buggie/jeep out after seeing how far I went up his ramp, just to show us that he could do better. I think he was disappointed with the proformance of his buggie, he spent a while looking at what was under the EB. He did ramp higher but not by much. Things have changed a lot sense then. I think Brian W's rock buggie could crawl over mine while it was on the ramp but it is still a lot of fun and I can drive it home. Thanks for the flash back and if you are out there Hello Coby.
