door repair

I too was looking at the door repair panels at Denis's, Just not sure how to attach and what to cut out based on the shape of replacement panel edges.

your outer door skin folds over the edge, there maybe trimming involved

Following. I have similar minor rust on door bottoms only and was thinking of buying the DC door bottom panels. Think I may just cut the rust out and try to weld some patch panels from sheet metal instead. All else fails, will bite the bullet and buy new doors...

Buy the patch panels and cut what you need out of it. Don't use the whole thing unless you have to. Leave as much OEM metal as you can.

What Justin said. It is a whole lot easier to do that than to replace the whole piece. I very seldom use a whole patch panel. Ken
