How did you make them so much brighter. I have the headlight upgrade but I know nothing about a brkae/turn light upgrade.

it works just like the headlight relay upgrade. run a 10g or 8g wire from the front to the rear and wire in your relays. if you want even briter lights up grade your bulbs to high output bulbs $4 apeice.

Sorry, I am sure if you know what you are talking about it makes absolute sense! Maybe a step by step for us dummies! Some of us have not been paying attention. Some of us got rear-ended lately and wish we had paid attention so we could understand what you are saying that you did so we could make our brake lights brighter so the idiots behind us would not rear-end us...

Good idea, but LED lights would be a better choice and a lot less wiring and less current draw. My goal is to have less wires. I can see the headlights as they draw a lot more power and it runs through the switches first then to the headlights. Where brake lights only pull about 10 watts or so and LED's pull way less than that and are brighter.

slick easy mod!

Never hurts to have brighter lights!

I've liked the outcome of Chuck's LED drop-in bulbs on mine. A little on the pricey side compared to higher-wattage regular bulbs but a nice touch.

Are the LED bulbs a direct replacement, and do you have to change or add anything else?

Sorry guys,
No relays, no special bulbs, no extra wiring.
Just a simple splice and a pack of fix-a-lens for $5. from Checkers.

Did you notice there is no reverse light on the stock lens?
I covered it with the Fix-a-lens (red) and spliced in the reverse light wire into the brake light wire.
Like I said the turn signals works pretty cool also. It looks like it fades out now that 2 bulbs are working.
For the reverse light I have a small halogen spot light to use (sold in pairs for the front) and using only one it will light up the whole area behind the rig.
Simple...

hmmm...I like the added safety factor and the brighter backuplight idea!

You mean your old backup lights that you turned red with the fix a lens blink with the turn signal now?

Is that your halogen light on the bumper?

I converted my marker light into blinkers. It is remarkable what happens when you have a nice gound. My lights are pretty bright too, mad.We can compare them at Big Kahunas when you're ready. I'f really like to see that nice rig of yours.

:)
