Does it have dual tanks and if so does it have the return fuel line with the 6 port fuel selector valve?

The fuel tank selector valve was originally on the floor under the drivers seat, behind the driver‘s feet.
For switching between tanks physically, then the switch on the dash was just for switching the gauges.
Some have been changed over the years to fully electric, but original was mechanical.

The non-return valves simply had three ports. Two in from the gas tanks, and one out to the fuel pump.
The return equipped Broncos got six ports.
The only way to know if you have a six port switch is to peek under the floor of the driver seat where the valve resides. Underneath the vehicle.
You can also tell if the return system is still intact, by looking for the return manifold up just in front of the carburetor. Typically somewhat behind the distributor.
Just follow the metal line from the fuel pump up to the top of the engine. If it goes straight to the carburetor inlet, it’s not there. If it goes to a small multi hose distribution manifold, you have a return system.
Most did not come this way, but some did and we’ve a big curiosity on which ones did.
