Izzy, vulture here..........................

I would be interested in one of the two wooden steering wheels, shoot me a couple pics and price if you are interested.

PS..........what is the EFI set up on the 69 ?

Hey Rox, I'm sure we can work something out on the steering wheel. It honestly is not high on my priority list but any excuse to move it up the list will be accepted. ;)

I'll send you a PM.

The EFI on the 69 is a powerjection 3 system. The on on the 76 is the Ford system.

I picked up the rest of the goodies today and I have some work ahead of me. Of course, I still have to get than dang white one running...

Here's a question for you, I would like to put a liner in the tub before I start installing everything, if I can that is. Would you line first and then install the cage or install the cage and then line it?

Enjoy the pics...

I will line it first. I did go ahead and put the cage in and a seat so I could get a glimpse of what it will look like. I'm digging the combo.

I mentioned before that the engine had a slight hesitation when giving it gas. I went about some standard stuff, gave it some clean gas and put some stabilizer in it to help clean out the older gas and checked the timing to 10 degrees, it was still hesitating though after that. So I connected the computer and went through the computer settings and found two items set to off that should be on. Adaptive learning and CLosed loop. Set both to on and cranked the engine and it purrs. Took it for a spin around the neighborhood and it ran great!!!

So I'm gonna start bolting things down and finish checking things out and take her for a longer ride.

Kristi says my grin is big tonight. ;)

Glad to hear it man! You got me thinking that maybe the system you have on it is the way to go instead of the mustang/exploder setup, hmmmm

Izzy, you could have picked this up as your extra vehicle.

Ok, started getting stuff together so I can get this inspected. The 3 things that I need to do to pass inspection are install wipers, install a horn and install a parking brake.

Started with the parking brake today but ran into an issue. The piece that is normally connected\welded to the body which the two rear cables connect to is missing. I can't find the part with any vendor but I guess I can make one.

Anyone suggest anything different?

Izzy, thanks for the call the other day! I put in my order yesterday for the adapter. Hopefully I won't run into too many more problems. I hope you got your problems figured out and good luck on the rest of your build!

Well, got some good news today despite the bad news on the 76. I got the tranny issue fixed on this one. The controller was not connected so I had to do some fingering out to get all the wires in the right place. Fired her up and she shifts. I will now need to go in and tune the controller a bit as she is shifting a little harder than I like it to. I did check the fluids and they were good. It's just waiting too long to switch gears for my taste so I'll tune it down a bit.

One step closer.
