Here is another approach to your "perfect 351" post-not to step on anybody's toes who has posted but as for the stroker-393 and 408-WHY spend that much money on a stroker kit when you don't have to??? Bronco from hell-you have my lunch at 500hp(I would like to see you put that pwr to the ground 4wheeling with us with a d44 front axle-but I digress

The high 390to 400 hp by the 393 stroker kit is reasonable from other friends I have who run that combo. The combo I am running (3years with no hangups so far!) is:
94-96 351 W roller motor deal-redone obviously with the following:
30over with 9.5:1 pist-your choice-get good ones,
light bal. work on block and internals with good matching of components during as.
custom ground Comp Cams dual pattern roller cam(cam specs locked in the skunk works vault), rpm band is idle to 4200
1.6 roller rockers
LOTS of head work intake and exhaust
GT40 upper and lower intakes, 65TB and &70 MA-, 24lb inj.
shortie WH/JBA headers, 2 into 1 3" exhaust with a single 3" Flowmaster Delta Series race muf. FR harness mod., stock '92AOD puter
Cooled with a Ron Davis double pass Al. rad. of course
Now the punch line +- 5% 400 hp and 475 ftlbstq
It works well on the trail, rocks, etc.. inc. the street. For impressing the neighbors, if I was on the street 90% of the time I would go up abit on cam-noise is good if it is backed up!!!
