Cherokee Wiper Arm swap

Did you replace vacuum wipers with the Tom's dual wiper motor? If so I did this conversion with no problems.

Original Electric motor. I asked Tom's yesterday and they didn't have an answer. I'm just going to bring the motor with me and test it at the parts store.

I tried this conversion with the WH synchronized electric motors and it didn’t work. The arms fit the splines on the original linkage but not the new motors. The splines on the new motors are just slightly larger than stock, enough so that this didn’t work. I did find other wiper arms that fit both the old linkage and the new motors.

The wiper arm I tried to use was a Dorman wiper arm, and yes it was the rear wiper arm. I did not try this with an OEM arm.

Good question, but I don’t remember anything about that.
Don’t have time to reread the discussion yet, but I thought they bolted right on without needing to bend.
