Jamie, with the work I have seen on here that you do, building a motor would be no problem for you. You can build any size motor you want and it is a very rewarding project. As was said to get a good instructional book and take your time to spec it out and you will have a motor that does what you want. Ken

whats an example of a good instructional book? whats the best book on engines?

New frame came today! Very happy with my decision, I went with Throttle Down. Old frame was tacoed and splayed out about 4 inches, along with many other issue, but no rust or oil build up, go figure.

Jamie,

Being able to tinker with an old school v8 does have some merit. But speaking from experience and especially after you have done such a massive build, the last thing you will want to do is tinker!

That's also why many muscle car guys are jumping to fitech etc, to get away from the tinkering.

In the end it's your money and you have to be happy. I know how hard it is trying to make a decision like this.

Another way to think about it: Build the Coyote bronco and if you decide you really need to tinker you could always sell it. I'm sure it would fetch good money especially with a new frame etc etc.

Good luck!

Big B I love your logic! I am still putting my list together but right now it is even money between the two builds.

I am already trying to find a beater truck that I can build to do some Mexico runs, this one will be mine, the other I will let my girls drive...

It's easy making decisions and spending money for other people!
