This is looking really great Number, I love the color (but maybe i'm a little bias)!!!

I know i told you i'd post updates on my centech install but i've been busy with other projects and just started making some progress on the wiring.

Keep up the good work!!!!

That looks great! Are the flares and front grill wimbleton white? They look pretty bright from the photos.

I like how you are holding the windshield frame in place! Can't believe I spent $45 on fancy new chrome knobs :)

Also looking forward to seeing the updated spreadsheet. I really just want to be able to tell my wife that others are spending more than I am. She will roll her eyes and point her browser over to jcrew.com

Thanks!

I am about 90% done on the Centech. So far, its been fantastic. Any areas where I thought the looms were the wrong length ended up being I wasnt routing correct. Some minor routing questions to the back of the vehicle, but overall, its has been a great kit to work with. I would estimate I am 16 hours in at this point. Just need to wrap up the dash and then start testing.

Yup, Wimbledon white on the grill, dash and fender flares. I bought the fiberglass flares and was really happy with how they took the paint. '

I was really torn on whether to paint the grill the traditional silver or the white. In the end, I figured there is so much about the bronco thats not even close to factory... make it how I want it then.

Here is where I am with costs below. Those costs just stack up. I am not going to track on the build on my 71'. I am almost done on the frame / running gear on that one, but I will give it more time before I start the build thread.

Good idea on the '71 :)

Funny how the Wimbledon white looks so different depending on what color it is next to.

Been continuing to make good progress putting her back together. Funny how much longer it takes to assemble and build vs tear down.

Electrical is pretty well done.

Installed a fancy new HEI that I had bought. Fired it up, then discovered the hood wouldn't close with this setup... Whoops.

Had a nice little valve knock, adjusted, threw the Pentronics back in and fired her up. I am very pleased with how she runs.

I'll post video in my next post... Well, will try to.

For those curious, I am running the BC Broncos 2 into 1 setup.

Have you registered for the Fab Ford show at Knotts Berry Farm. You did the work now show it off.

Looks like an interesting event. My kids would love it. Any idea how many Broncos show up? I could probably use a deadline to work towards.....

As a fellow accountant, I love to see the spreadsheet!

Love the color as well and your spreadsheet definitely shows just how quickly a project can add up; great work!

Thanks for the encouragement and compliments.

Placed a $400 order with Toms Friday night. You hate spending money, but usually Bronco parts have an element of joy in the purchase. This time..... Not so much. It's pretty much because I am lame and as I get to the final details of final assembly, have lost parts. That little rod that connects to the C4, a knob here, a turn signal bucket later, windshield knobs and boom... Your a few hundy's lighter.

The other challenge has been resisting stripping down the 71 I bought. I can really start seeing the value of buying a parts rig. Too bad my wife would kill me if I towed another one back.

Last year I think it was around 120 broncos. Worth going even if you have to drive something besides the bronco.

And the show is seperate (in the parking lot) from Knox, so if you plan on bringing the kids and hitting both, give yourself enough time (i.e. all day).

Numberfool - is this bad boy ready to go yet?!

She is on the road. Been taking her back and forth to work a few days a week to build up a trust.
My daughter goes to college about an hour away and I actually let her and her friends come get it and take back to the campus for the final week and a half of the semester. She's a real trustworthy kid and I figure the use will continue to shake out the bugs. My brother in law lives right next to the school and is a bronco brother as well and will check on the rig every few days and make sure all is well mechanically.

Had some excitement.

- My raptor liner failed in the front due to poor prep. Redid it and it looks great now.
- Standard Carb spacer pushed the air cleaner into the hood. I'm back to my stacked crappy gaskets until I can figure that out
- have a stupid amount of fabrication and welding into the exhaust headers and connections keeping them away from frame, front DS, starter....
- I had enough of the money bleeding and sand blasted my old bumpers and did a rattle can white paint on them. I think they look decent.
- I have literally spent at least $500 to $1000 on buying parts that were lost or partially lost. I am going to be real careful about this on my 71' build. Learned my lesson.

Learned alot. Enjoyed the process I think as much as using it. I'm excited about my 71' build and will apply all those lessons. I am absolutely going Luber and will be doing a way different end result. I am thrilled my daughter loves them so much and has participated. It's allowed me to both spend great time with her and less importantly, "move" the 75' to her when the 71' is done and justify my insane decision to buy a 2nd EB.

Not to sound like a weirdo but where does your daughter go to college? I saw a bronco and had to take a quick look again but it was gone. Does she go to CSUN? That's where i go to college and saw that bronco in the area. Not sure if it was your daughter driving it?
