is there really a big difference in cost or driveline issues in mods between the two suspension lifts? Im still going to need ext brake lines , drop pitman, and what else ? note- adding 2" bodylift first.
id be fine w the 2.5 if 35"tires will be comfortable in that setup.

rather than the drop pitman arm, why not do tie rod over? gain the same thing without all the extra stress on the sector shaft, and you'll gain more tie rod clearance. you'll also need to relocate the track bar, and an axle riser is better than a frame drop bracket.

There can be. 2.5in lifts usually dont need anything extra like drop pitman arms trac brackets ect. 3.5in lifts do need them and sometimes need new driveshafts they can have handling issues due to not enough caster. but some people have had no issues or needed new driveshafts.
If you dont go offroad and flex a lot 35in tires should clear with a 2.5in lift and 2in body lift. A better question is do you have the gearing to run 35in tires.

mdshore My wifes 73 is in my shop right now you should come take a look at it. It has 2.5" lift with no body lift and 33" x 12.5" x 15" tires and rims. Looks sweet but has no body lift. I dont think you will need the body lift unless you want 35" tires. let me know if you want to look at it.

I run 35's with a 2.5" and 2" body lift. I wheeled the snot out of it at the hotsprings park on some pretty hard trails and I don't have any issues offroad. I also have the Wild horses gorilla war flares which may help me in the no rubbing dept.
