Diamond plate door inserts

I've been toying with the idea for a while and today i started on them... well the drivers side anyway....Ill post some more pic...when or IF i finsh them up

Cool Jay, your a fabricating madman lately! How do you like that garage?
LOVE IT!! I'm gonna play around with them alittle more today... when i got a piece just about down to where it fit right, i made reverse padern soo the passager side should go togeter a little faster will see....

Very nice! Maybe Im behind but have you made them with just sheet metal before the diamond plate? Cool!

Thats freakin sweet!!!

You know what would be cooler...next project for you...
Do a set but only do diamondplate on the upper section above the curve and have a set of quarter guards bent up to go on the upper quarters to match up...would look good.

Not a fan of the polished DP, but you did a great job on those. Is that steel DP or Aluminum? Its hard to tell...if aluminum, what are you using to do the welding? Spool gun or TIG. Nice job.

Its steel 1/8 inch and its migged... their gonna be flat black i just wire wheeled them to get some of the crap off

Those inserts are slick!!!

X2 - I buy them by the 100 and get the free grinder from MAx tool! ;D

Jay - those are fantastic - by the sounds of this thread you might have a product there.
