My first thought was the backing plate is bent. I've heard the new ones can be hit/miss on quality.
Sounds like a real possibility to me as well - more new parts that are cr@p? Say it isn't so...

Years ago I supplied used junkyard backing plates to a number of vendors for their disc brake conversion kits - that stopped when the new ones became available and they decided there was too big a risk of the used ones being bent......oh the irony!

Here are pictures of the other side. No purple tint, clean contact on rotor from entire brake pad. The rotor and pad are very close to being flush. Passenger side looks good but the drivers side does not.

I will also add Bronco Graveyard’s service and tech department are not very helpful and very delayed. Gonna stick with Tom’s and JD on my next two bronco projects
