Drive shaft length with ZF trans

I am getting ready to drop the ZF back in and am wondering about my drive shaft lengths. I am using the BC Bronco cross member on the ZF Dana 20 set up. Roughly what will my front and rear drive shaft lengths be? I am also thinking of adding zero rates in the back to move my rear axle back an inch if its worth it. I am getting used to doing things twice since I just bought these drive shafts last year new.

I'm running a ZF with BC crossmember and D20. Both shafts are 29.5" and I have my rear axle pushed back an inch.

I have 3 1/2 Susp 2 inch body with 35s

This is my exact set up. Just went and measured and now I need to add drive shafts to the list of new parts as well. Guess I could just have mine reworked but by the time you ship it almost doesn't make sense. Will get the transmission installed so I can get a good measurement before I order.

Don't trust what others have done, measure for yourself. There are different ZF tailhousing lengths that will dictate your driveline length as will suspension lift.

The zf and mazda trans are the same length with the dana20 adapter. Deano and i have done both. The general dimension we have is 9" shorter rear and 9" longer front. No matter what lift you have or what the length is of the shaft just add or subrtact and they will work. Either way they both end up the same length so you can use them on either end if you want to

I have seen too many Broncos that were built the same, but have different length driveshafts. Using someone else's measurement just means you are buying them a spare driveshaft that if you are lucky might fit you own truck as well. How good is your luck?

My thoughts exactly.....I will get the transmission installed and measure for myself. I have done enough things twice already.

I was told a front driveshaft from a F250 will work, but not sure if it will, or from what year. Would certainly be easy if it does.

driveshafts

the 1350 front driveshafts for the ford (cv) came with or without a flange at both ends depending youre set up i diont know if youre running a round flang adapter (t-case yoke) then the folange style will fit except the super duty it has a larger pilot ford common deal now is 4 1/4 bolt patern with a 2" pilot they make a 1310 1330 1350 and 1410 on your pinion the same aplies the cool thing is if you change your pinion yoke to a flange style you can ad a flange to the slip yoke and the mesurement is so close to the sasme its funny call my shop cuz im not a chick who types so this respo9nce actuly took me 20 minuts
