Well it took me a while to get it on the road. I have about 50 miles on it. I'm still in the break-in / making sure I feel it's reliable period. No reason to doubt it's reliability, other than the fact that I did everything myself. %)
Just proves that if I can do it, then anyone can!
Thanks to Phil (Viperwolf), Tim (BroncoBowsher), Eric (Hoosierdaddy), Josh (Tito), Gabe (Recko555), and Ryan for their immense help, tips, pics, and advise.
Here's some finished pics...

The only issue I may have is that, until it gets warmed up, when I press the accelerator, there is a little hesitation.
And the other thing, and this happened with the carb also, when she gets into 3rd gear (automatic c4) I'm not thrilled with the acceleration performance (3.5 gears, 33" tires).

Oh specs. It's a 5.0 upper and lower intake from a mid 90's Explorer. Same as an '89-'93 Mustang GT. My block is a 1980 302, rebuild from 2002 with 22,000 miles on it.
Low pressure pump mounted on the frame rail and high pressure pump near BC's accumulator. Purchased EFI fuel hose from the local das Vauto Zone.
I had to drill and thread a hole for the ACT... and that last pic is in the heater tube for the ECT.

O2 bung and sensor install. On my long tube headers. Ideally, you want the O2 sensor closer to the block, but I've had these Jet Hot coated Hedman headers for 6 years. Look how good they still look! That Jet Hot coating is really good! When they finally give up the ghost, I'll go with stock manifolds or BC's shorty's.

I had to lengthen the IAB wires, and keep the IAB in the stock position otherwise if you rotate it 180* then it would face and interfere with the throttle cable on the BC throttle bracket.

Looks great Mark, welcome to the world of being able to start up at any temp without being in the driver seat to pump the gas and fart with the choke. We all have the routine that makes a carb start right up, but hated to have to try and tell anyone how to do it so they could get your Bronco (been there).. I love my EFI, it is nice being able to run out and start it up on those cold mornin's and run back in side where it is warm :)

(all you carb lovers, don't fret, I still have on on my 69 Stang and I love it, it runs like a champ :), and the auto choke works too )

Setting the throttle cable at the BC's bracket. Take up the slack, mark the wire where you want it to go into the retainer, cut the cable and insert it into the retainer and tighten the setscrew.

It looks great Mark.

You might try cleaning the MAF and IAC valve for the hesistation problem. What 3rd gear problem are you having? I had some valve sticking problems after I got the new motor in but my C4 sat for about 4 years before that. I eventually took the vavle body out and cleaned up the valves and bores. I works perfectly now.

Mark,

How far does the cable go into the retainer, I just installed one and it only went on about 1/4" past the set screw.

The problem with that is you have one chance to install it cause when you tighten the set screw it mangles the end of the cable and if you need to take it apart it needs recut to reinstall. its gets short pretty fast.

Looks great bud, some of those mods looks real familiar! ;D

The IAB is the only issue I really had issue with. I am going to try and find one of the Ranger ones to put on (I have to relook at the list) for one that will fit better. It really didnt fit well with the BC bracket.

Are you having any issues with your return spring? MY return spring uh didnt return.

Randy, true about that one chance. One of my retainers (the kickdown one) only went a little past the set screw and pulled out. Luckily, I had enough slack to shorten it further, but I drilled the retainer out deeper with the drill press, and it seems to be holding fine so far.

Phil I'll try those tips.

Josh, Those mods were copied from someone's Exploder thread ;) (ahem - yours). No problem with the return spring so far, I think the throttle body return spring is strong enough (acceptable). I'm toying with the idea of mounting another return spring to the firewall, but I'm waiting to see if I get accustomed to it as is.

Man that's nice and you did it all yourself ..Something was said about cleaning the iac & maf motor ..Well my commit is Ford makes a spray can cleaner for that and it works much better than other sprays like Berryman and the other dozen ...Give it a try..
..Also after your finished how much do you think you have in the job...Running Buddy is gathering up his stuff ..he keeps thinking he'll have 2K in his I don't think it should be near that bad..
