EFI inline fuel filter questions

It appears that most off the shelf inline metal filters are 5/15th inlet and outlet. I found one Fram that has a 3/8th inlet but 5/15th outlet.

I'm plumbing my system with 3/8th braided and hard lines and I'm worried that running a filter with 5/16th inlet and outlet will cause pressure issues when the rest of the system is 3/8th. Am I over thinking things?

I do not want to buy some off brand eBay crap that that's going to do more damage than good.

What's everyone running?

This is the filter that I use: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wix-33481 It is the standard GM EFI fuel filter for both Tuned Port and Throttle body injected vehicles in the 90's. I usually buy the filters locally, but I only buy Wix brand or the Wix made CarQuest private labeled filter. I chose this filter because they're easily available everywhere! One of my vehicles has this filter and the Bronc-up is about to get one.

These are the adapter fittings that I use on both ends of those filters: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ear-991955erl

Unless you are going with a blower or making over 400 HP you can use 5/16 line front to back. If already have the parts bought use them but no need to worry about a restriction with the reduces going into the fuel pump as shown above.

5/16" (-5) in AN fittings is expensive and very limited in selection compared to 3/8" (-6). So there's an ease of procurement and an economic reason to go with 3/8" when using all AN type fittings, even if the use really doesn't require that much flow capacity.

Aeromotive makes big ones, but they are expensive. I've heard they are great filters.
