EFI stalls when put in gear

Thanks for the link, and the suggestions from everyone. It does seem to be more of a problem when the engine is cold. But after it happens the first time then I begin to compensate by just touching the throttle to get it past the opportunity to stall.

r u running a oiled k&n style air filter? u mentioned a idle surge in P/N does that go away when motor is at operating temp? does the idle smooth out in D while stopped.

I know u said that u checked for vac leaks around the motor, but one place that gets overlooked is the vac booster for the brakes. pull off/plug or crimp that line.

No, no EGR. I have the "plug" that keeps the check engine light from coming on. ;D

I'm using a cone filter, but it's not oiled.

Do you have a different throttle body?
Have you tried to set base idle?

Do this. Hopefully that will get the IAC working like it should. If not you might need to chase some wires.
