Hey everyone. I was watching Junkyard Digs on the yootoob. They were using one of the distributors from Progression Ignition. Looks like a pretty cool distributor. It has bluetooth connection to your phone to adjust settings like spark advance curve, and includes an anti-theft feature to disable the spark with a setting in the app.

Pretty cool actually. Almost too high-tech for me, but I like the full timing control things like this offers.
I hope they’re more reliable than some other modern electronics.

If my ignition is going to be that computer controlled, there will be matching EFI for the fuel side as well. Which makes stand alone timing control a little pointless

In it's defense, there's no springs, weights or vacuum cans to mess with. Just hook up the vacuum line and set what you want for the advance curve. There are many here on the forum who wonder about what anti-theft to use.

I don't disagree with you, I have Mustang EFI on one of mine, but FiTech on the other, and it's not controlling the spark curve right now. It's just using the Duraspark parts for that so far. The anti-theft alone would be really nice to have.

All is good until the electronics fail. Think of how hot that area can get. If you want a properly curved distributor look up Hillside Auto in Klamath, OR. Wes is well known on the FE boards
