emergency brake cable removal.

I am getting ready to lift the body off the frame. How do you disconnect t he e brake cable from the the wheel drum assembly? Seems like this may be a complicated process. is it?

It's easier to disconnect the other end. Take the drums off. Unhook the cable at the park lever. Squeeze the fingers together holding the cable in the backing plate (small hose clamp works good for this). Pull cable out.

The top end is definitely easier, but if you unhook them inside the drums, use a 1/2" box-end wrench to compress the fingers simultaneously.
