I was installing mine based on efiguys diagram and what I could find online. I ran the diagnostic on the unit and showed bad brake circuit. Looking again online I found a diagram showing the brake switch going to ground when brake is not pressed. So I grounded that circuit temporarily and the diag worked with no faults. I was using a focus switch that’s is only open close. no pin when open to ground it. What brake switch can I use to make it go to ground?
this page shows some diag for it and says it should be ground as well, well less than 20ohms from pin 4 and 10. https://www.supermotors.net/registry/media/322459_1

That circuit (810) is normally grounded through the brake light bulbs, which is why they must either 1) not ALL be LED, &/or 2) have a shunt resistor to ground, &/or 3) have a double-throw BOO switch as your diagram shows. This is the diagram for '93-96/7 trucks, with the brake lights indicated by an arrow box pointing to a dashed circuit between the BOO & S240:

This one shows SOME of those branches (but still not the actual brake lights):

Ahh. ok. i had put on a extra switch on brake pedal to try to keep the cruise on its own circuit. without it attached to the bulbs on that side of the switch there is no ground. so if i hook it into the existing brake switch it should work since the tail lights are incandescent.
