i believe at some point ford was making all blocks roller, but certain engines got flat tappet cams (trucks, crown vics, etc?). Roller blocks will come with the hole tapped in the valley for the roller lifter spiders. Can someone confirm?
Add one more broken bolt to the tally sheet Johnny. This one looks the best, or um, worst. Not sure how I will get this one out, the others had plenty of meat to weld a nut onto, this one not so much.
Not much is getting done each day, I am just trying to do something each day and maybe more on others as I have more time to myself; that is few and far between with a wife and two small boys.
We all have done this... A little bit each day and before you know it you have sunk so much money in it you may as well finish it! ;D
There isn’t a good shot of the bronco in the picture, but it is in the background on the right. I got the body from a member here, Bonefizz.
Here in one last pic showing the cylinder wall. I was amazed at the carbon buildup, or the lack there of. This car wasn’t treated the best by the signs I see, however, the engine was firing extremely clean from the looks of it. Or perhaps all the junk I have taken apart in the past was really bad compared to this...
That’s a nice buck. Hope to see one this year. Good luck with your explorer swap. I went straight to the efi. So glad I did. EfiGuy was a great help.
Which engine was this one? The Explorer or F150?
