I bought a setup yesterday freshly removed from a 2000 explorer. The seller did not include the Explorer short timing cover, he said that was an engine part and not included.

Do I need the Explorer short timing cover or can I use the stock cover on my 302?
I am collecting parts at this stage, how many bearings will I need?

Thank you!

What they said above about the timing cover.

Don't forget the exploder water pump also, OE from any parts store or you can pick up a flowkooler from one of the bronco shops.
