Im changing the plugs and wires on a recently purchased 1969 EB with original 302 V8
the firing order in place was 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
Im new at this so i don't know, but it seems a little strange?
Anyone know the correct firing order?
thanks,
Cora

Thats the correct firing order. Why does it seem strange? Are you used to ch#vys? just be aware that ford numbers there cylinders different #1 -4 is pass side front to rear. 5-8 is drivers side front to rear.

Just for future reference, the firing order is cast into the stock intake manifold if you are still using it.

Actually the 15426378 is the same as a Chevy's. The cylinders are just numbered different and I think the SBC distributor spins backwards. Their recent 4-7 cam swap uses the 351W order.
