Here's a pic from my build. The coil packs are mounted on the firewall, low on each side. Can't see them in the pic.

I have a set of their valve covers, very nice product!
Are you able to access the -12 AN connections in the valve covers? I’m concerned the front will interfere with the pulleys and the back will interfere with the firewall.

Thats 3 times the cost of a crate 427 worth of an engine. Looks like Godzilla is the new NV4500/4r70

Oh come on now. That’s the Megazilla. The cost of a crate Godzilla is way less and is several thousand $ less than a 427. Those things have gotten pretty pricey.

The transmission is longer than the engine, and has an interesting tail housing/Output.
I wonder if it’s adaptable to a transfer case?

6R140 is 30.3" long, weighs 345lbs, 34 spline output. 6R80 is 26-5/8", 215lbs, 31 spline.

I’m using a 6R80. The 10R80 will be a more common combination for the Godzilla. Both will bolt up directly to the Godzilla. The 10R80 is what Fords (Broncos, Mustangs, F-150s, Expeditions, etc.) have been using since about 2018 (depending on the vehicle). Prior to that it was the 6R80. The 6R80 is supposedly a little more sturdy and better offroad, while it will be easier to find a controller for the 10R80 (in the future).

That's a 2WD version of the transmission.

The 4WD version can easily use the AA Adaptor to the D20 or Atlas.

After months of waiting, the Megazilla is finally hitting the market, with a hefty price tag. I would recommend buying a Godzilla and building your own with better parts for less $$$.

There is also another version of the 7.3L Godzilla that I have seen a lot of recently. These are being taken out of Ford Vans that are being converted to Electric. The 7.3L out of the vans and other fleet trucks are not the same as the Crate Motor or the Godzilla out of a Super Duty. The Van engine is rated only at 300HP and a lot less torque as well compared to the 430HP Crate Motor. If you are looking for a used 7.3L, be careful what "Take Out" motor you might be getting.

My understanding is the 300HP version is identical tot he 430HP version. The power drop is software driven. Very much like the 6.7 diesel in the F350 chassis cab is much lower HP than the formed frame F350 (truck with a bed). If you drive one it is crazy early shift points. Keep the RPM low, shift points down, fuel economy goes up. There was a place (five star?) that was putting the 430HP tunes into the 300HP motorhomes. Neighbor rented a huge Ryder box truck when they moved. It has the low HP 7.3 but he was also pulling about 10 MPG.
