I have a 77 bronco, 2 1/2" suspension lift, no BL with a carb'd 302. EFI may or may not happen in the future, so an in-tank pump is not required for my application.

What's the best steel tank on the market right now?
Are they all the same?
Who has the best price?

How low will that tank hang below the stock one? Do you have a picture?

Thanks.
Jeff

I just installed a BC 24 gallon in my 77. Its a very easy install and is adjustable if you do decide you need a BL later down the road. If you go to F.I. later, it has an extra port for a return line already. It will hang down a good bit lower though. The hardest part of the install on a 77 is the filler hose, 1 3/4 on the tank and something like 2 1/4 maybe more on the 77 filler neck. With a good quality hose, not the real stiff ones, you can get by using 2" hose and heating the one end with a heat gun to slip it on and just using a T-bolt style clamp on the tank side. HTH SB

I ordered a tank from All 4 Fun Offroad in Albany Oregon. The tank holds 21 gallons and is adustable for body lifts just like BC Bronco's tank. I will probably not pick it up for another week or so but I can post some pictures when I get it. I wanted to change a few things with the tank and he was more than happy to help with the changes. This is the second time I have bought stuff from them and they are always helpful.

X3 on the BC tank. I've had one for years and used it in two different Broncos. I first had it in my trail rig with 2" BL, but its now in my wife's rig with no body lift. Yes it sticks down farther than the puny stock tank (how could it not?) but with that beefy skid plate it hasn't been a problem (I've banged it pretty hard with no adverse affects). I'll see if I have any pics of it showing the angle of the dangle with the stock BL.

My vote is for the BC tank, I have had several of the NWMP tanks and they are tinny and will pop in and out when the weather get really hot. Not effect on performance just proves the tinny side to me.

I have the nwmp tanks in mine but seeing the BC tanks I would go that route the next time. They don't seem to hang as low and are beefier.

I believe I have a early NWMP tank dating from the mid/late 70's had it with no lift and while it hangs down it was rare to catch it on something I could usually tell when I was going to scrape it. It held up very well. Now I have a 2.5in lift and have only tagged it once. it has a few dents in the bottom from all the years but nothing major. Sounds like they are using thinner metal now either way I like the BC tank and would go with one if I needed another.

Why are you bitchin? If you are trying to get questions answered right now, Chuck is out of town. Ive been emailing and PMing him for a few days and finally found out he is gone for the week. I even tried emailing Debbie and nothing.

I noticed an ad in the last Bronco Driver where one of the vendors is selling this hose now. Can't find my copy but it's in there if you get it.
