Grommet for PCV on Ford Racing Valve Covers

Hi,

I have looked for a grommet for the PCV valve on the '71 unsuccessfully for the last year. I have tried various ones from the help aisles at O'Reilly's and AutoZone with no success. I have found a few threads here about the topic; but, only a reference to "simple" grommets.

The problem with the present grommet is that when the motor gets hot, the seal gets sloppy and there's a little bypass around the PCV. I'd like to replace it to get a better seal.

I have attached some pics of the grommet and the opening in the Ford Racing valve cover.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Jeff

That looks like it is set up for a oil cap instead of a grommet. Are both valve covers the same? You could use a stock Bronco oil cap which is designed to accept the PCV valve.

Hey broncodriver,

I'll look at the other side tomorrow. I do know the other side has an oil fill... that's the one I use for filling the Bronco with oil.

Thanks for the tip on the cap, too.

Take Care,

Jeff

Hi Steve,

Summit racing sells the motor sport replacements. I also had no luck with the local replacements.

Thanks to you, I think I found the correct replacement. I need to check the measurements; but, it looks like the correct application.

Take Care,

Jefff
