Hard Top Removal/Storage

I’ve been moving a hardtop around my garage for a year now and have finally found a pretty neat option I thought I would share. It’s made by RollnJack and is made for Jeep’s BUT it works great for storing and moving my top. In addition its made so you can actually lift the rear liftgate, push the Jack into place and remove the top from your bronco all by yourself. It is a bit on the pricey side but it works very well, has nice wheels and the rear wheels swivel making it easy to push around.

Nice. Wouldn't think it'd be too hard to copy with the smart minds on here..

Are you 'storing' it like the pictures show, or do you have other plans?? Seems like a good idea for removal but ??? on storage space.

I only say “storage” bc for me it keeps it off the floor and move it around by myself. And if I can ever get one or three projects done I’ll raise it to full height and I can store my half cab under it and a few other things. On a side note I “knew” a 35x40 garage would be big enough....

Blasphemy...there's no such thing as too much shop space. ;D I'm like a goldfish...my projects just grow until they fill the space they're in.

Hardtop removal and hardtop storage...
How hard could that be?

I might as well pony up the cash. I've done the ratchet strap method (great for taking the top off, sketchy to put it back on), and a rope, pulley and come along setup that makes my garage look like a place for a crazy person. That device you've got looks like a clean option

It is very nice! They have free shipping right now which would help out. Plus if you’re getting a new bronco should help as well. I’ll attach another pic for lifting height etc. Right now it’s in its lowest setting

Nice! Doesn't look like it will work with a roll cage though.

Where do the pads land on the inside? Do they hit the roof supports? I have the original style hardboard headliner in mine, I'd be afraid of crushing it trying to lift the top off. Not that I have a better solution, I've never had mine off. The wife and kids are asking me to do it this spring though.

Good point as an option for the new ones coming out.

It will balance itself in a few spots. But yes it will hit along the support ribs. There is lots of adjustments built in. And even modifications would be pretty simple, I.e attaching a different pad setup

bet this would work on a half cab, coming in from the side.
would you even need it, or can one person lift a half cab off by themself?
