Having trouble spending money

Hello all~~

I've recently joined the group to begin work building my 76' sport. I registered my account, but for some reason don't have permission to buy items listed in the classifieds.

Any ideas on what I screwed up? Any insight would be appreciated.

Due to the constant spammers and scammers that sign up here, there is some type of screening set up for new members in the classifieds section.

I have more questions than answers.
Welcome to the site.

To help with getting enough post to post, why don't you tell us about your bronco and post some pics.

Warning it's much easier to post pictures if you become a contributor by paying the $12. Well worth it for many of us.

Thanks gnpenning-it looks like I have some work to do. I'm working through the FAQs now to build a complete profile—and include pictures.

I'll figure out the contributor process as well.

Thank you for the insight.

Welcome to the group. Your $12 will be well worth being able to load up pictures in your post when asking questions. Or to mention it helps keep the lights on!!

Welcome to the site! As thegreatjustino said, you need a few posts under your belt to post in the Classifieds or send PMs. But it looks like you cleared that hurdle pretty easily, so you should be set now.

If you still have issues just let me know.

Love the photo you posted of your '76 in your Gallery. It just screams "opportunity"!

Welcome to CB.com! That's a sweet rig...she looks perfect as she sits ;) I'd put some air in the tires and drive it, but mine's up on frame stands, so I'm missing driving mine at the moment.

I really like your Bronco also. It is getting very hard to find them in the condition that this one is in! Most of them have had paint and bondo thrown at it and more distasteful modifications than you can count! You mention that it is a '76 Sport. It appears that it is a stripe delete '76 Ranger since the fender badges don't say 'Sport'. This is a very nice find. Congrats!

I have a 76 Bronco that I have been slowly refinishing. I easily blew my refinishing budget even though I tried to keep it as original as possible and doing the work myself. I have to admit the fun and satisfaction has been worth it. Mine was in very similar shape to yours when I started.

I appreciate the insight—I likely have it wrong. Can you tell me more about the difference between a Ranger and Sport? This Bronco has been within the family since 1984–my aunt finally agreed to sell it.

Thanks for the insight. I'm planning to do most of the work—how did your story end? Did you continue your own work, or finally start to send things out?

Nice start. If the rest looks as good as this side you are very lucky.

Did your aunt or another family member buy it new??

Now that you are a contributor you can easily post more pictures by using the advance button. Ask for help if needed. Hopefully you noticed we like pictures.

sjohn,
I did all of the body work and painting through enrolling in Auto Body classes at the community college. I only had surface rust and dents were minor dings. Class provided everything I needed but paint. Best deal in the world. That's now all done. It starts and runs great but I am looking at having engine rebuilt for reliability sake. Here in California that work is mucho expensive and shops have a 12 to 16 week estimate. I can't go that long without my Bronco so if it isn't broke I am not going to fix it for now.

I'm doing a project now. I can see the end of the budget.
So what happens if there's a disaster and funds run out?
No loans or credit on this one.
