Were any '73 U15s with the 6 cylinder originally a 3 speed on the floor rather than the column? Ours has the floor shifter, and we cant find the VIN tag with the info to decode it. The column has a closed plug over the location that looks like it was meant to be that way?
Any help welcome, and Thanks for the help...

Every single EB built originally came with a column shifter - regardless of manual or automatic. Anything other than a column shift is not factory.
