Help with this part please. (Steering?)

Pulled this off of a vehicle. Can't remember what year, I refinished it. And now as I'm in reassembly with a different vehicle I can't for the life of me figure out where it goes. You'd think with three EB's I could match it but that's just not happening. If you do know where it goes, would you please take a photo that I could reference?

I think it is a J shift transfer case shifter boot retainer. Sorry don't have a photo.
