So like many it seems my horn doesn’t work. I have been able to successfully make it blow just not by pressing the horn button

One of the last things I tried was to shim out the enter of the two rings on the backside of the steering wheel wall that gets the horn to blow it will also blow whenever I turn the wheel. Any ideas on what might be keeping it from blowing normally

Sounds like you have the turn signal switch with the 2 horn contacts. There is also a single contact that is used with a horn relay.
Shorting the 2 brushes honks the horn, so the column and horn wiring all sounds good.
At this point the only thing left is the steering wheel. Stock? Aftermarket? What are we working with?

Stock. Looks like two circles on back. I assume it shorts one to the other when you push it down

What year Bronco?
Maybe the contact traces are scored and carboned up? Maybe the copper contacts on the turn signal switch are buggered a little bit?
Get any pictures of all this stuff when you’re headed apart?
If it’s working when you add more pressure by building up the rings, maybe it’s just not getting good contact.

No matter what it turns out to be, though, I would add a relay to your system and take the load off of the contacts. Give them a longer life and maybe even get it to work now without having to replace any other parts.
And probably get a louder horn as well.

played with it last night, looks like the little copper plunger contact wasnt coming out all the way, I fixed that. I can put the whell back on, run a wire from the contact to the middle bolt on the wheel and get horn. I place the horn ring on and cant get it to blow. on the horn contact plate there are two litttle white plastic pieces that have metal contacts, where could I get replacements for them? Anyone know a part number, I am thinking my horn ring cant reach them due to being worn down
