Converting from an Aftermarket Ignition Switch (PO installed) to a Factory Style Ignition Switch. I don't have the factory ignition pigtail/plug and would like to stick with female adapters if at all possible.

I've somewhat figured out colors/prongs..Can anyone help me identify which wire goes to which Prong on the Factory Style Ignition Switch?? Pretty Please??

what year bronco? it would be good if you can get a factory plug because it is held tight by a nut on that center post. would be bad if the wrong wire came off while under power. I had to do the same conversion on my bronk which is a 75. I think I used one off a 72 and figured out wiring with a Haynes schematic . colors were different but I just soldered the correct ones together by configuration mating the 72 schematic to the 75

I don't know where the black-red is going. Might be brake light wire because of color.

Pink should be the same as the red-green wire.

Click this & read the caption:

I read that earlier..my issue is..what wire do I run to the starter prong? I can figure out power, battery..but do all 3 ignition(aftermarket) wires go to the ignition side of the factory switch?? Cant right?

The "P" post (your marked "POWER??" to the lower right) probably stands for "proof-out" which is the connector for the brake warning lamp on the dash. It's actually a momentary ground that connects in the START position only.

Your original wiring would have worked like this:
1. Yellow is battery power to the switch. Should go to the "B" for Battery terminal.
2. Original Accessory wire to the center stud would have been Black w/green. Is there a wire matching that description anywhere around?
3. Red w/green and Green w/red share the "I" for Ignition terminal. (Green w/red is faded and is the "yellow w/red in your image)
4. Red w/blue goes to the "S" for Start terminal.
5. Pink should be traced. It's either the proof-out for the brake warn light, or something else. Double check.
6. Black w/red probably should not be there. Trace it to find out what it powers. It's either the Stop Lamp switch, Headlight Switch, or, it almost looks big enough to be the main battery wire that has been cut and connected to the switch! Not sure about that, but there are only so many Black w/red wires on an EB, so see what you can find.

Or just leave it off and see what doesn't work? Might be the safest bet at this point. ;)

Thanks guys for your replies..

So this will be my wiring plan for tomorrow..

Yellow - Battery
Pink and Green/Red - Ignition
Red/blue - Starter

Black/green - Accessory (I'll try to find wire)
Black/red - I'll leave off and check to see if something doesn't work properly..

I'll let you know how it goes...

...what wire do I run to the starter prong?
Just like the diagram shows: R/LB from the ig.sw. "S" (Start) terminal to the starter relay "S" (Start) terminal.
...do all 3 ignition(aftermarket) wires go to the ignition side of the factory switch?
Look at those instructions. If you don't have them, I suspect they'll be very similar to this:

The "P" ... probably stands for "proof-out" which is the connector for the brake warning lamp on the dash.
Right.

looks like the black/red wire is spliced into the brake light switch(connected to the brake pedal) and then ran out through the firewall..i lose it from there as it's in shrink wrap..

That could qualify as a mantra.
Or at least an addition to the thread about "Quotes and Quips" that we keep adding to!

Don't know what those pesky PO's were thinking when it came to wiring.
