I started working on my Bronco about a year or so ago. It was my uncle's who purchased it from someone who used it for some kind of off-road activities. Because of this it has some modifications done to it. Before it had a "towing" bumper or a bumper with a tongue on it so it could easily be towed from South Carolina to the midwest when my uncle moved here about 20 years ago. Recently I picked up the "original" bumper for it and I just want to hear people's thoughts on it as in my opinion, it is insanely large/heavy duty...

It’s your Bronco.. if you don’t like it go another route.

Personally I would never put that on mine.

that thing is hideous. throw it in the recycling and put the stock on ASAP. lol.
Thats what I was thinking, I will probably keep it tho, It might come in handy for tree farm work or deer retrieval. Thankfully I do have a stock chrome bumper from my uncles '67 Bronco that I will put on there for now. For the pins that hold it in, do I need anything special or will just standard tractor/farm pins work?

pins? or do you mean carriage bolts? local hardware store should have the carriage bolts you need for the stock bumper.

Mine has something similar - a large ranch hand brush guard welded to the frame horns. 1st thing I did was cut that off and had to do some modifications to put a stock bumper back on. Your gas mileage should improve after removal!

You could set it up as a sunsetter bar, like they do with the safari trucks in Africa!
