Install Chrome Body Side Trim; Door

Friends,

Anyone have tricks to install the chrome door trim on the exterior. I have the trim and the overpriced mounting clips (2 styles). I see some threads on taking the trim off, but nothing on how to install. I get the three inner clips get riveted on, and the 2 end clips get bolted on, but how do they hold the trim on? Thank you.

The bolt style are obvious of course, just pre-install them into the channel. There's a little tab/finger that helps hold them in place. Once on the body, the chrome snaps onto the rivet style clips. it doesn't take much force and you'll feel them seat.

When I installed mine I got everything lined up on the ends before I snapped them down onto the clips in the center.

The door trim has slightly smaller bolt style clips for the end of the chrome where the hole is very close to the edge of the door. The larger clips won't work in that location. You'll see once you hold it up there.

Your last comment on the smaller clips saved me. Was trying the larger ones and couldn't figure it out. All good now. Took 20 mins.
