We are making progress. It will be a two tone black and magnetic grey metallic. Engine compartment is done in the grey.

Notable items:
We used a couple old bulkheads to make some enclosed storage and room for the subs. Pic #3
Custom front wheel tubs to better clear the 33s with stock height suspension. Pic #5/6
Flattened out pass side cowl so we can tuck the A/C up a bit. Pic #6

Good things take time. Starting to get exciting!

Jim

Great looking build Jim.

Two questions:

1- Were you guys just out in PA for the MEB event?
2- Any pictures of how you flattened the pass side cowl?

Thanks Jason,

Q1 Yes we were, had a great time. Hope to be back again.
Q2 No pics but this is pretty straight forward. Most of the time people will just cut and weld in new metal to the top of the cowl. Cut, weld, grind ect. Basic sheet metal and fab work. It's all flat so not to complicated.

We can identify with many of the builders here on classic. We have projects named glacier and molasses for example. We can see light at the end of the tunnel on this one. Sheyla is nursing the 04 Navigator along. We are hoping it last until her ride is ready.

I was almost two years in to the flathead-powered EB build when I drive you two around the trails at the 40th in 2006.

The flathead EB is assembled and running finally...but it still ain't done yet, Jim.

This would be a good option when the body panel suppliers are making cowl replacements. I bet there is a market (small maybe, but it's there) for a straight-cut cowl piece.
For those that can do the work, but are not comfortable with fabbing up the new panel itself.

It's own stand-alone product, and as an option for the "body in a box" kits.

Yep, your Bronco is the catalyst for Dave getting this rig. Sheyla picked the two tone and the black. It was that color when she bought it 30 years ago.

Looks great, Jim. I’m surprised she didn’t let Mitch paint it. Lol
Can’t wait to see it finished.

Yep, this project is still moving along. Very happy with the paint and body work from Dave at Virga Customs. Cage Dave as he is known here in NorCal. He did the cage too.;D It's two tone black and magnetic metallic grey. Finally got to use my custom tailgate. We used two old bulk heads to make storage behind the front seat. Now time for me to go back to work. Still a lot to do but it's coming together nicely.
