Wow your projects don't get done any quicker than ours. keep up the good work.
We are making progress. It will be a two tone black and magnetic grey metallic. Engine compartment is done in the grey.
Notable items:
We used a couple old bulkheads to make some enclosed storage and room for the subs. Pic #3
Custom front wheel tubs to better clear the 33s with stock height suspension. Pic #5/6
Flattened out pass side cowl so we can tuck the A/C up a bit. Pic #6
Good things take time. Starting to get exciting!

Great looking build Jim.
Two questions:
1- Were you guys just out in PA for the MEB event?
2- Any pictures of how you flattened the pass side cowl?

We can identify with many of the builders here on classic. We have projects named glacier and molasses for example. We can see light at the end of the tunnel on this one. Sheyla is nursing the 04 Navigator along. We are hoping it last until her ride is ready.

...No pics but this is pretty straight forward. Most of the time people will just cut and weld in new metal to the top of the cowl. Cut, weld, grind ect. Basic sheet metal and fab work. It's all flat so not to complicated.
This would be a good option when the body panel suppliers are making cowl replacements. I bet there is a market (small maybe, but it's there) for a straight-cut cowl piece.
For those that can do the work, but are not comfortable with fabbing up the new panel itself.
It's own stand-alone product, and as an option for the "body in a box" kits.

I was almost two years in to the flathead-powered EB build when I drive you two around the trails at the 40th in 2006.
The flathead EB is assembled and running finally...but it still ain't done yet, Jim.
;D
Dave does nice work Jim... But you should have gone Green!
(We used the same Painter)
We have some color! It's two tone black and magnetic grey metallic. Finally get to use our custom tailgate.
