Got on the list for a new body from Nick at Northeast today, and finally got the body lifted off.

One of the downsides to my move is that I don’t have room to store my trailers at home. Car trailer is at a friend’s moms place about 45 minutes away.

Rather than spending all that time driving back and forth for trailer, came up with an alternative plan. Maybe not the best way to haul this but only going about 10 miles, no highway.

Finally got the frame back today and will start assembling tomorrow. Also got the call from Northeast Classic Ford Parts to confirm my body order. Things are moving along, maybe 2023 is the year I’ll get it done.

Ran into a bit of a disappointing situation this week. I’m running JD drop radius arm brackets and had them welded prior to powder coating. The welds are in the way of the 4r70w transmission crossmember and I’ll have to grind them off.

A lot of progress in a little time recently! Looks great.
And I know it's probably one of the hardest things to do during a full frame-off project, to leave the frame uncoated until you've had it together and apart four times(!) but hopefully the grinding and re-painting needed for the cross-member won't be too much trouble or heartburn for you.. Don't want anything to get in the way of enjoying it all when you're done after all!

Yeah, it sucked having to grind on it. Thought I had fitted everything before it went to for powder and just didn’t think about that crossmember.

First resto, lesson learned.

Does that front dress allow for adequate steering shaft room?

Someone else asked that on the CVF thread, I'm going to mount the steering box this week and take some measurements.

I put the steering box in place tonight and don’t see any issues with the shaft. Hose connectors may be a little tight but don’t think it will be an issue.
