Nice find! looks super complete with all the usual stuff eyebrow grille, side mirror, bumpers ect...also I found an early u13 without a heater as well from Arizona. I noticed yours and mine don't have the passenger side support from the firewall to the fender...guess ford thought it was needed to support the heater, then did away with it after 66. Also, your dash transfer case sticker has a 2l below the 4l like mine...1st time I have seen another sticker like it. Also correct hood with different supports than later hoods! congratulations take forever tracking down correct parts and you have almost them all and looks pretty solid! just noticed stock full-time hubs up front as well...pretty cool!

Thanks
John

i did notice alot of those things are there. ive done alot of reading on the 66 specific stuff in the last 5 days. there was a great thread on the colorado bronco forum. i thought the full time 4wd was really cool when i bought it. its not the most practical, so i may change to the warn hubs, but i will for sure save the full time hubs to keep with it. i have the side view mirror which from what ive read is pretty much made of gold. is it normal for a roadster to not have a regular rear view mirror and be missing the visors?

i have been keeping up with your thread. ive learned alot through your experience if that helps any!

There are some AWESOME guys on this site who know every screw and hole on these '66's! I don't know how they keep all this crap straight, but I'm sure glad they do! I'm stumbling along, but I think it's going to be super cool when done. You have a great start there -- there's just something about these '66's that intrigue me...

x2, I bet it didn't originally come with chrome bumpers either.

I don't know.....Those bumpers look like they have been there for the duration to me... And it has the correct taillight bezels to go with the bumpers...The other deciding factor is the horn ring and it looks to be missing.

Great looking U13 for sure!

X(probably many) = for those are original bumpers and taillight chromes.

Other than there being no horn button to speak of - are there any signs for or against it being there? (did you get a regular horn button with it in a box of parts?)

no bucket of parts. what you see is what i got. i wish, that horn button is cool as hell. with or without that trim ring. i can see why people pay stupid money for them. if anyone knows of one, please let me know.

Ain't a whole lot of things that have ever made me want to live in Texas. But some of the Broncos I've seen you boys pull off of ranches sure as hell have made the wheels turn a time or two.

Outstanding find. Were that mine, I'd clean it up, protect it from future rust, and drive it as is.

Be happy! Don't stress about the horn button or rear view mirror...you are way ahead of the game (or 66 curse)!

No kidding there! I'd drive it just it is. Always wondered if it was a radio delete, if you still got the speaker cover, I guess not, doesn't ever appear to be one there.

Man that truck is great. Ours are very similar. Early (ours is sept)Springtime yellow U13, w chrome bumpers, sun visors, tail bezels, lighter, and no heat.

Differences, we have hubs, radio, and Cali emissions.

I'm thinking the bumpers are original, as it has the tail light bezels.

Looks like it has the original radiator. Patina doesn't look like it had a bulkhead, so would have had a back seat?

Must be tough to drive with out a shifter.... Gas cap looks like they were filling it with diesel (ha ha)

If your going for a really accurate resto, take a million pics, this is very unmolested, all the details like the color of the heater block off plate, cad plating on hood hook, tailgate pull, and I assume the tailgate supports are cad too. Even the paint line from body color to white on the grill. Will only be original once.

Fantastic truck, love it the way it is. GREAT find!

I used to have sun visors, the bases are there held to the windshield frame with 2 screws (per base). Looks like they were broken off. If it never had visors, there would only be reference dimples in the windshield frame (no holes).

be missing the visors?

Thank you! Would love to see yours! No holes for back seat. Shifter is there just in the back. The column needs some work. Resto is coming. I love this thing but would like it better the way t was in 66...

Cool find. Hope you can drive and enjoy it.

For the non bronco accessory, what was story behind the shotgun shell bungee cord accessory???

That's how I found her. She had a top resting on her and some other crap inside. Haven't even bothered cleaning yet.
