I didn't use the kit from BC. I called Vintage Air and got the largest evap they offered. It has 4 vents for air, 2 for defrost and 2 at the bottom for floor. It was a tight fit.
That looks sweet.....how much work was it to move the cluster to the other side of the column? I mean, outside of cutting the hole and patching the other side.....will the wire harness & speedo cable work on that side or do you have to reinvent everything?
The driver pod? Had someone do it for me, but it's just sheet metal wrapped, welded and ground down to clean edges. Didn't really start with anything, just made it big enough for the 4 gauges and indicators (not installed yet) in a way that still gave me visibility I wanted. From my seating position, I look through the steering wheel to see the gauges. Still needs a bit of sculpting before paint.
It was really a sit and stare kind of prototyping process. Played around with cardboard and then turned it into metal.
