Longer 02 sensor - add wire?

I am finishing up my EFI and have long tube headers. I did buy the 16" longer O2 sensors but it looks like I am still a bit short.

Can I just add wire to lengthen the connector?

Or is there some sort of resistance difference with the wire length?

They are so expensive I don’t feel like buying another set just to get longer leads.

Thanks,
John

That's what I had to do. Just add the wire length at the harness side. The sensor end has a sleeve that pulls a small amount of fresh air to the sensor. You need to keep that in-tact. Solder the connections and use some heat-shrink tubing to keep the wires from shorting. The small change in wire resistance shouldn't be a problem.
