Ha...A previous EB I bought, without title, but with DMV paperwork, later came back as a salvage title and frame was out of wack...hence the reason why it didn't have doors and a top because they wouldn't have lined up.
I had help with the welding, didn't trust my own. Welder actually made suggestions on how to incorporate the patch piece from another frame.
Used a plasma cutter for the 1st time to get rid of most of the added metal.
Was able to save the wheel well by cutting out the hammer-modified side.
Probably my biggest repair, after doing a drivers door A-post.
Mine had a 3/8 plate welded to the bottom of the frame in front with a ball on it for putting boats in and out of Lake McConaughy. Couple hours with a smoke wrench to remove that one and grind it out.
On my 71 1/2 cab bronco the PO took brazing rod and made the roof and the tub one piece then he took bondo and sculptured it in it was fun separating the roof from the body
Someone in the history of my 66 brazed riveted & bondo/fiberglassed the front quarters to the eyebrow grill. The rears were worse & cut with a hacksaw & no guide lines.
