Post #8 is a pic I took of a friends rig with original paint and the Special Decor Group package stripe when we patterned the reproduction stripes we make off his rig. That is not Calypso Coral. It is a 77, and that color was not offered that year.

The only orange listed in the 77 sales brochure is Vista Orange.

Correction still needed to post #8

Here are the other paint chips for '66-'69. I noticed they were not included in the post earlier for some reason.

Which dadgum blue is it?!!!

Saw this one in a MO Mecum Auction last week and have been interested in which blue this is. Is it Marlin blue, Acapulco Blue, Bahama Blue, Astra Blue or Grabber Blue?

In the sun looks yellow.. in the shadows.. green, had the painter go off of the actual 76 truck color chip...

I'm trying to choose a paint color for my '71. After reading this whole thread I have a hankering to do it white with a red Canadian flag.

That's a '72 with a '76 paint/stripe scheme. That is Blue Metallic like mine.

I was thinking it could be Brook Blue Poly. Will look at a paint card or Blue Metalic. Thx for the info JG!

It could be, but the Brook Blue has a more dull look to it. The Stripe may be throwing me off, because that is definitely a '76 Stripe. That Bronco was all confused. '76 stripe, '74 or '76 color, with '73 or '74 seat pattern. (Can't remember which)

Here is Brook Blue compared to Blue Metallic. Hard to tell which one, really.

JG - I don't see Brook Blue or Blue Metallic on the two paint cards I've saved, which are 70 and 76. Do you know what years those were offered?

Also, i'm assuming your Bronco is the 2nd photo posted above? If so, what color are the white accents (HT, grille, flares)? Wimbledon white, or some other white?

Thanks!

'74 color code E for Brook Blue Metallic, '76 color code D for Blue Metallic.

Yes, that's my '76. It has Wimbledon White on everything but the bumpers. Bumpers are a flat white.
