As an aside, have we seen photos of this 2 week old paint job?! Maybe I missed it? Or forget? Sorry we didn't get to say hello at Carlisle.

No, I haven't posted pictures yet. I was going to take it out for pictures on Saturday, but it decided to rain instead. I'll get them taken before the end of the week.

I wanted to stick around for the picnic, but we got there early to avoid the crowds and my son was exhausted by noon. I figured that we'll meet everyone at Gore in 2 weeks and we didn't bring anything to contribute to the potluck. Carlisle was awesome, but I think it would be better to show up late and stay late.

I did see you pull in. Your ride looks great.

Yes, you need to worry about the paint if you go on any trail.

having just been to Gore for a Big Dogs event this past weekend, the trails are very overgrown, which means Pennsylvania pinstriping!

When I did green trails, green meant that stock suspension and tires were fine, but there was still some driving finese needed to navigate some tight turns, and narrow obstacles. "Lookers" may want to stick to the street cruise.

And lastly, what's everyone's favorite beer?

OK, I'll take this one! My favorite beer when living in VA was Yuengling Black & Tan. No one distributes it here in Texas that I've found. When I ask for "Ying Ling" beer the response is usually "We don't carry no Chinese beer here."

Now my favorite beer is Firemans 4. It's from a small brewery in Blanco. Still not drinking Fat Tire because of their support for closing trails to motorized traffic. I'll bring some Firemans 4 in case anyone wants to try it!

Terry, any home brew this year?;D

Terry's brewery has temperarly run out of doggie paw beer. Life has been getting in the way. But that did not slow down my tasty beer drinking. :D I am bringing my new bronco dog, Lexi and a few more surprises. I might bring a little bit of trusty Terry's Bronco parts, for the swap meet.

Looking forward to meeting everybody, just found out we can make it down Wed night instead of Thurs night. Are there street cruises Friday & Saturday?

The street cruise is Saturday only. There are trail rides all 3 days. Friday evening at the campground is the participant judged show-n-shine, sponsored by Tom's Bronco Parts, the Ramp Challenge, sponsored by Krawlers Edge, dinner, campfire and general socializing. Saturday after the trail rides and street cruise is the Blindfolded Obstacle Course, sponsored by Bronco Design, dinner and the BIG prize raffle. Did I miss anything?

Keep asking questions, especially for those who are coming for the first time.

The family and I are looking forward to another Round Up. My trail rig is almost ready. It looks like I will have to make two tips out to the Cove this year to get everything there. One to pull the RV and another to pull the trail rig.

John, easy for you to say - you may be the closest MEB member to the Cove! ;)

We brought 2 Broncos last year - my trail rig and my 78 street modified. Worked out well. I did trail rides on Thursday and Friday and then took the 78 on the street cruise on Saturday. Makes for a well rounded event! That was doable from Manassas. But not so from Texas! I feel lucky to just be able to get one there.

My 16 month old grandson will be with us. I hope to get him a little trail time!

If we do not find seats to ride along Thursday or Friday, perhaps we can do an unofficial street cruise with a small group? Not sure of any other sites or events to drive to, if not there are other things to do at the campground.

Here is the drive in movie theater website that I mentioned to a few of you. Thursday night seems to be the only free night (events Friday and Saturday evening) if anyone would be interested in going. It should be less than 1hr away from the campground. We went last year and had a good time.

Hey John. I'm in the same boat, two trips, one to pull the camper, second to drive the EB up. You in Camp-1 again this year? See you there!

Hey Anthony. Yup I will be in the same spot as last year. Are you going to trailer your Bronco or do you not let your wife drive it? (just meesing with ya)

Looking forward to meeting up and wheeling.

I am registered but my Bronco is not ready. I am trying to finish up my one ton swap. I know I'm running out of time. Hopefully I won't still be working on it the night before the Roundup starts!

Mine hasn't run in a year, nothing like a deadline 2 week out to get you motivated to start working on it.

I'm in the same boat, got mine running and driving last week, then started tearing pieces apart to get ready for paint.

Trying to get this all done two weeks before Gore probably wasn't the best idea. Oh well, had to work around the painter schedule. We'll be there either way, with or without a Bronco!

Wow, you guys are making me feel a lot better about where I am with my Bronco. Good to see that I'm not the only crazy one trying to get finished at the last minute!

Last year I made the stupid mistake of "topping off" all my drivetrain fluids 48hrs before the event. That's when I found my TC took over a quart of oil! Then on the drive up, it promptly blew it all back out all down the underside including exhaust (mmm burning oil). I ended replacing the output yoke seal in the dirt, at my campsite, in the dark. Talk about unprepared...

In hindsight that was only the start of things to come as my wife got in a car accident on the way up and I ended up leaving the event with only a 1/2 day of wheeling the entire weekend. :(

I hope this years better!

Just thought I would remind people that we will deliver orders up there. Just give the sales guys a call. Space is limited, so it's first come, first serve as always. Orders need to be in by the end of day the 25th so we can get them all packed up.
